Letter from S. Cellner in Montgomery, AL, to Isaac Leeser in Philadelphia, PA, dated August 14, 1854. Cellner informs Leeser that he has sent notice that Mr. Heller does not wish the Occident, that Mr. Young also does not wish it, and that C. Krous has left for California. He reports that he has not collected any money for Leeser for the Occident or Bibles. Cellner mentions that he has some of Leeser's Bibles left, and that some subscribers do not want them, citing high prices and the belief that some are in Hebrew. He hopes Leeser will visit to resolve the issues.
