Description
This letter is written in two parts. The first part, dated June 5, 1864, from Kingston, Jamaica, is written by K.? Myers to Michael Light in New York. It announces the death of Myers' father, Moses H. Myers, and requests that Light inform Revd Isaacs and Revd Leeser. The second part, dated June 16, 1864, is from Michael Light in New York to Isaac Leeser in Philadelphia. Both letters mention Moses H. Myers, who was headmaster of a Jewish Free School in London for over 30 years, and a minister of the great Synagogue there.
