Letter from Joseph P. De Youngh to Isaac Leeser, December 23, 1849

Description

Letter from Joseph P. De Youngh to Isaac Leeser. De Youngh writes that he received the unbound Daily Prayer Book and the numbered items Leeser sent, but that Leeser never stated the price. He explains that the person who ordered the volumes is out of town, but that he will hold onto them until the person returns. He notes that Moses Cohen never received a bill and did not expect to be charged for the advertisement. He also mentions he gave $20 to Mr. Seixas and asks about the price of a dozen copies of *Chemag Israel*, promising to send payment to Mr. Bernall. He states that he has not yet located B. L. Simpson or Cordoza but will soon. He closes by asking Leeser to write more plainly and expressing hope for Leeser's good health. He also mentions that he expects to hear soon from Mr. Bernall.
