Description
Letter from M. W. Strously of Wilkesbarre, PA to Reverend Isaac Leeser in Philadelphia, PA. Strously informs Leeser that the synagogue will be consecrated by Reverend Mr. Isaacs of New York. He also mentions that books Leeser mentioned in a previous letter have not yet arrived and that he will sell what he can and remit the money to Leeser. The letter is dated August 24, 1849 and includes a wax seal.
