Concerning a Mistaken Payment and Subscription Discontinuation
Description
Letter from Benjamin Franklin Peixotto to Isaac Leeser concerning a mistakenly sent subscription payment of three dollars. Peixotto explains that the payment was initially sent to Mr. Robt Lyon in New York by Mr. Ger A Davis at the request of a person who had difficulty speaking English and misunderstood the difference between "As" and "Ox." The letter clarifies the situation and forwards the corrected payment from Mr. G. Straus, who also requests discontinuation of his subscription.
