Description
Maria Morris writes to Isaac Leeser from Petersburg, Virginia, requesting that he compose an inscription in Hebrew and English for her late husband's tombstone. She requests that he send the inscription by mail to Petersburg. The husband's Hebrew name is mentioned as being known to Leeser from his time in the Synagogue. He died June 3rd, 1847 at age 75.
