Post Office notice informing the publisher of the Occident that mail addressed to J. H. Dessau, Gershom Nathan, and S. E. Rosenthal was not picked up from the New York City post office because the recipients had moved and their new addresses were unknown. The notice is signed by James Kelly.

Letter from Morris J. Raphall to Isaac Leeser concerning the delivery of copies of *The Occident* and payment received from Messrs. A & L. Mack. Raphall mentions difficulties in delivering some copies, including those addressed to Miss Cohen and Mr. Nathaniel Hart. He encloses an order on Miss Moss & Br. for $5.70, after deducting 30\'a2 for collection fees.

Postmarked Stockton, CA, March 31, 1857. The letter is from William Lanius, Postmaster, to the editor of the Occident. Lanius informs the editor that a paper addressed to Messrs. Korenbaum & Joachimson was refused and not taken from the Stockton post office. The reason for refusal is marked as "Refused."
